Live and Work in Paradise: We're Hiring an Island Manager and Assistant Island Manager

We’re on the lookout for two passionate, practical, and people-focused individuals to join us in these rare, live-in roles: Island Manager & Assistant Island Manager.

Rotoroa Island is calling. Set in the stunning Hauraki Gulf just 1.5 hours by ferry from Auckland, Rotoroa is not your average workplace. As a pest-free wildlife sanctuary, it’s a special place of rich history where native biodiversity thrives, curious visitors come to connect with nature, and conservation is part of everyday life.

These are hands-on, full-time positions that come with accommodation on the island (a 3-bedroom semi-furnished house), ferry travel to and from Auckland, and the chance to wake up every day surrounded by bush, birdsong, and white sandy beaches.
