We have a great team of core volunteers who do a wide range of work for us and are invaluable in our ongoing efforts to ensure Rotoroa Island's natural environment continues to thrive and our visitors have a safe and great time when they visit. We are keen to grow this wonderful resource.
Rotoroa Island Trust has three core groups of people who volunteer on a regular basis throughout the year. We provide training, a free return ferry fare and accommodation if you stay overnight. Volunteer days are on a roster basis based on when we need people and when you are available to help us.
Visitor Experience
(Assisting in our kiosk, beach patrols, guided walks etc)
Track maintenance and development
Biosecurity
(Checking & maintaining traps and monitoring stations)
