ANIMAL RELEASES

Over the next ten years we plan to release 15 different endangered species to Rotoroa Island, including takahe, kiwi, tuatara and weta punga. Kiwi chick releases are during breeding season which usually runs from August to April - and we'd love for you to be a part of these special events. VOLUNTEER DAYS

Rotoroa Island offers a small number of public and corporate volunteer days each year. Whether you're looking to organise a productive and unique team bonding event for your colleagues, or you want to spend some quality time providing some much needed assistance at an emerging wildlife sanctuary, there are a number of ways to help out on Rotoroa Island.
