Hospitality and Ground Maintenance Summer Positions

About the Roles
Rotoroa Island Trust is seeking reliable and friendly staff to join their welcoming team on Rotoroa Island in the southern Haruaki Gulf.  These roles will suite a conscientious worker, or a couple looking for a 6-month fixed term contract or Summer Student positions.  Must be in good health and physically fit, be adaptable and understanding of working in an island environment.
Hospitality Duties
Preparation of holiday houses: cleaning, bedmaking, restocking, laundry duties
Guest Reservations and transfers between wharf and accommodation
Ferry Duties:
Wharf safety
Assisting with bio-security checks (training provided)
Delivery of arrival
Ferry departure duties
Assisting with corporate, public and volunteer day groups
Other general tasks as needed.
You will need:
Proven work experience in similar roles
Professional, friendly and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to work independently and to a high standard.
Grounds duties:
Mowing lawns and grounds maintenance
General maintenance and repairs of buildings and facilities
Waste streams management
Track maintenance
Weed control including use of sprays
Noxious weed checks over entire island as per weed control procedures (Target Weed List)
Other general tasks as needed.
You will need:
Current First Aid Certificate
Growsafe Certificate or proven experience in plant pest control (preferable)
Clean Drivers Licence (ability to drive a manual preferable)
A friendly engaging personality able to interact with public.
